Your recording, your transcript and your corrections are not in any of this. They are read on this device, they are never uploaded, and no cookie on this page or anyone else's has ever been given a byte of them. What follows is about your visit: the browser you arrived in, and what can be written into it.
We set none
This site has no account, no session, no login and nothing it wants to remember about you between visits, so it writes no cookie of its own — not a preference, not an identifier, not a "we have shown you this" flag. There is nothing here for a cookie to be for.
Two things this site does put on your device are not cookies and are described in full on Privacy: the speech model your browser caches so a second recording does not download it again, and any recording you deliberately pressed Keep on this device for. Neither is readable by another site and neither is sent anywhere.
Counting page views does not use one
Page views are counted by a self-hosted Umami collector at
analytics.pagefabrica.com. It is cookieless: it stores no identifier in your
browser, cannot recognise you on a second visit and cannot follow you to another site. It
honours Do Not Track — with that setting on, it is never contacted at all.
Google's advertising can set some
This site carries advertising from Google AdSense, under the publisher account
pub-3015567014793107, in one box at the bottom of the front page. When that box
is filled, Google's advertising code runs in your browser, and it can set and read cookies and
similar identifiers there. Those are Google's, not ours: we cannot read them, we are not told
what is in them, and Google decides what they contain.
The ones AdSense commonly writes are __gads and __gpi, which cap how
often you are shown the same advertisement, measure whether an advertisement was seen, and —
where you have allowed it — help choose which advertisement to show. The exact set is Google's
to decide and can change without this page being the first to know, which is why this page names
what is typical rather than pretending to a fixed inventory. Google publishes its own list at
business.safety.google/adscookies.
None of it happens unless you scroll to the box. Google's advertising code is not loaded when the page loads: it is fetched only as that box comes near your screen, which is at the very bottom of the page, after everything the tool does. A visit that never gets there makes no request to Google and can set no advertising cookie.
The consent choice, and how to change it
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google shows you a consent message before it personalises advertising. It comes from a Google-certified consent platform and is served through the AdSense code on this page — we do not run a consent banner of our own, because a home-made one would not be certified and Google would not act on the answer.
What that choice controls is whether Google may use cookies and identifiers to personalise and measure advertising. It does not decide whether an advertisement appears: refusing personalisation still shows one, chosen from the page rather than from anything about you. Google collects your answer, records it and acts on it, and the choice is stored by Google, not by us — so we cannot display it back to you here or change it on your behalf.
To change it, use the privacy or consent control Google places on its own message, or clear this site's cookies in your browser and answer again the next time the message appears. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them along with everything else, and a content blocker or a browser that refuses third-party cookies removes them before they are ever written.
Refusing all of it costs you nothing here
There is no cookie wall on this site and there never will be. Block advertising, refuse every cookie, turn off third-party scripts entirely: the tool records, transcribes, plays back, corrects and exports exactly as it does otherwise, because the whole engine is already on your machine and none of it was ever waiting for an advertisement.
